TRACK & FIELD UPDATE  Over Spring Break, the women's team brought home their third team victory from the Lloyd Invitational. The men's team finished second.

This past weekend,  both the men's and women's teams competed in Jeffersonville, Indiana at the "Inferno," which included some of the best high school teams from Indiana and Louisville. Both teams held their own against the best competiton we have seen since last year's state meet.  The women's

team finished fifth out of 15 schools and the boys finished eighth.

SK had strong Gold Medal performances from Meredith Hiles, Anja Arlinghaus, Sophia Delisio and McKenzie Lachmann.  They also set a new SK school record in the Distance Medley Relay.

SK's ARCHERY TEAM was runner-up for Region 5.  Seven archers made the All-Region Team:  Amanda Hornsby, Cassie Kremer, Holly Snow, Hanna Howard, Charles Watson, Jackson Parrott, Matt Tomlinson.

The ACADEMIC TEAM traveled to UK on Saturday to compete in a tournament to prepare for Nationals.  The field included the defending state champion in quick recall, another perennial state powerhouse and top teams from Indiana and Tennessee.

In an incredible performance, the team finished 2nd on the day! Please congratulate the following students:

FOOD PACKING EVENT

Food Packing Event & Fundraiser

Food Packing Event: April 30

Meals will benefit the SK Youth Service Center

Donations Accepted through April 17

FBLA has begun fundraising for a Food Packing Event to be held @ SK.

You may remember the food packing event last spring hosted in part by the Northern KY Hunger Relief. Last year we were able to pack 25,000 macaroni and cheese meals for our Youth Service Center and other local food pantries!

  • The cost is just 25¢ per meal and if every student donates a quarter in each class we will reach our fundraising goal!
  • Donations may be given to Ms. Burns in Room 288 during 1st - 3rd periods or to Ms. Bauer in room 291 (during any class period).
  • Volunteer sign-ups will be available as the event gets closer. The amount of money we raise will determine the number of volunteers needed.
From the Counseling Office . . .
