The 2015 Pioneer is now on sale.  Books may be purchased at www.smart-pay.com.  A basic book is $48 now and the price goes up in March.  The staff
does NOT order extra yearbooks, so this is your opportunity to purchase a book.

All items on this list will be collected every day.
These are simply requests from those in need.

Archery Team Update

The SK archery team won several awards at the Williamstown tournament on Saturday, December 13.  

 

Junior Amanda Hornsby won 1st place in the women's division and overall women's high score and overall high tournament score.

 

Freshman Ryan Huesman won 1st place in the men's division and overall high score for the men's division.

 

Junior Matthew Tomlinson finished 2nd place in the men's division. Holly Snow, 7th grader, finished 1st place in the middle school girls' division.

 

The team as a while finished in 1st place.  Congratulations to the SK archery team!

Bowling Update

SK men's and women's teams bowled Saturday and Sunday at Western Bowl's Holiday Classic. in the women's  division, 32 teams competed from Ohio, Kentucky and Tennessee. The men's division had 34 teams from the same states.

 

The women's team placed 27th out of 32 teams, which was a nice showing for their first tournament.


The men's team
 had a great day, finishing 5th out of 34 of the best high school Teams in the tri-state. The team was in 3rd after the 3 qualifying games, but dropped to 5th in the 6 game backer round.

Congratulations to senior Brian Fecher who finished 10th overall  out 250 bowlers and was named to the All-Tournament team with a 681 in a 3-game series.

7 PM in the Susan B. Cook Auditorium.  The winter band concert will be Thursday, December 18 @ 7 PM in the auditorium.

Wrestling Update
The Pioneer wrestlers participated in three separate tournaments over the weekend.  The varsity team wrestled in the Edgewood Invitational in Trenton, Ohio.  The team finished 5th overall in a tough tournament, despite forfeiting 6 of 14 weight classes.  Individual placements were:  Elijah Miller (1st), Elijah Owens & Casey Cornett (2nd), Dante Castellano (3rd), Salim Mardis, Michael Roark and Spencer Carpenter (5th) and Nick Fouts (8th).  Elijah Miller is Wrestler of the Week.

The JV competed at the Ryle Rumble on Friday night and placed all 7 wrestlers. Adam Dan and Salim Mardis finished 1st. Other placements were Jacob Clifton (3rd) and Josh Geiser, Michael Whisner, Bostin Richards and Nick Fouts (4th).

The JV also wrestled in the Sycamore JV Invitational on Saturday. Josh Geiser finished 1st, Michael Whisner 2nd and Bostin Richards 4th.

As a team, the wrestlers competed in the Oldham County Superduals, winning their pool and finishing 4th overall.

The team is still looking for more wrestlers.
