to thank the community as we Filled the Bus with canned food for Action Ministries. The event was a huge success and many Kenton County families will now be able to have a
Thanksgiving meal. We couldn't have done it with you!

The event starts at 7 PM. Admission is free.
Come out and meet your new Pioneer and Lady Pioneer basketball players, cheerleaders and band.

Varsity Football Update
footballplayoffsseniors The Pioneers soundly defeated Lexington Lafayette on Friday to advance to the 3rd round of  the playoffs.

The team travels back to Dixie to avenge an earlier season loss to the Colonels.  The game is at 7:30 PM.

Archery Team Update

The archery team will compete Saturday, November 22 at Calvary Christian School.

 

SK's Archery Team had several winners at the Beechwood Archery Tournament The team won 1st place with a score of 3207.

$500 Scholarship Opportunity

gold-tiara.jpg The 4th Annual Miss Independence Pageant will be held on Friday, December 5.


Contestants must be young women between the ages of 16 and 21 and reside in Independence or attend high school in Independence or have graduated from an Independence high school.

This event is sponsored by the Independence Business Association (IBA) and the City of Independence. Current prizes include a $500 scholarship, crowns and sashes, cash prizes and trophies and a pageant tote with products from local businesses. Event profits will benefit the SK Youth Service Center.

The WOMEN'S BASKETBALL TEAM is having a LaRosa's Fundraiser on Sunday, November 30 from 4-9 PM. A portion of your total bill will be donated back to the team. You must present a flyer to your waiter. The girls will be there passing out flyers all night. Questions, please contact Ms. Wendeln.

Academic Team Update

Congratulations, David Chai, who finished 1st in the freshman/sophomore division at the John O'Bryan Math Tournament Saturday at NKU!

Great day for the Pioneers! Men's and women's teams both swept Pendleton County.  High series for boys was Cody Hail (386).  Jonathan Cummings (8th-grader from Twenhofel) finished with a two-game total of 364.  Vanessa Cheeseman scored 198. 
From the Counseling Office . . .

 

Piner Elementary's Nature Explore group is in need of volunteers to assist in the after school club. If interested stop in the guidance department for information. 

 

ASVAB TEST RESULTS ARE IN . . . see Mrs. Hickey for your results during SKORE on Monday or Wednesday.

 

OVERTURE AWARDS   Northern Kentucky Overture Award Competition: Dancing, Music, Vocal, Art, Creative Writing Overture Awards:  Students interested in participating in the Northern Kentucky Overture Award Competition should contact Mr. Michael Laughlin in the Guidance Office.
