presening a Distracted Driving assembly for juniors
and seniors.  
 
Congratulations to science teacher Sheryl Fischer for winning a Golden Apple last week.  Senior Troy Sterling was also honored at the event as an Academic All-Star.

on May 10 is bowling.  If your club or sports team could
help make the alternate bowling pins, please contact
 
Clubs and sports team members are also needed to run the carnival booths during the lunch break and to mentor participants during the event. 
 
PROM IS SATURDAY, MAY 3 @ Coney Island Moonlight
Pavilion.  The cost is $45 per person.  Tickets will be on sale April 14-22.  If you are bringing a non-SK date, guest
forms are located outside Room 203.

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITY   Were you a senior homcoming candidate?  If so, you are eligible to apply for a scholarship.  Pick up an application in the guidance office.
 
PIONEER MENTORS   Sophomores and Juniors . . . Interested in being a Pioneer Mentor next year?  Applications are available in the guidance office. 
 
UK SUMMER CAMP OPPORTUNITIES
The UK Area Health Education Center offers two residential camps for current high school students.  The 4-week summer enrichment program is open to rising junior (current sophomores) only and the health researchers academy is open to current juniors.

BRIDGE CLUB   The "Bridge" is a club at SK devoted to bridging the gap between our friends with disabilities and YOU!  Please come and learn about how to get involved with Bridge. DIVERSITY CLUB  This month the Diversity Club's goal is to help students understand the tradition and culture that makes SK a unique and great school.  

 

FIRST PRIORITY (formerly "FISH") meets every Thursday after school in the chorus room from 2:45-3:30 PM.  

  

GUITAR CLUB  Guitar Club meets on the last Wednesday of the month from 2:45-3:30 PM.  

 

JUNIOR CLASS STUDENT COUNCIL  Interested in planning prom?  Show up at the meeting on Tuesday, March 11 in Room 203 after school.

 

PHOTOGRAPHY CLUB   is SK's newest club.  For more information, see Mrs. Rita Grant.  The group meets on Tuesdays after school.  

  
SOCCER Those interested in trying out for the boys soccer team who are not participating in a spring sport should report to the fieldhouse
on Tuesdays/Thursdays for conditioning.  Time is 6:30-8 PM.

 

TLC (Teen Leadership Club) meets every Thursday after school in Room 311 until 3:30 PM.

ODYSSEY OF THE MING team earned a 2nd place in the regional competition.  The team advanced to the state and competed this past Saturday.

 

Congratulations to the SK CHOIRS for a job well done at the KMEA performance assessment event. The SK treble choir received an overall distinguished rating and the chamber choir received a proficient.  Both groups easily earned a distinguished in sight reading.
