REGIONAL YOUTH
LEADERSHIP
OPPORTUNITY

For the past 20 year, the Regional Youth Leadership program has provided an opportunity for high school juniors in our region to develop leadership skills.  It is an 8-month program that includes monthly sessions and exposes students to the issues and challenges facing the greater metropolitan area by using the community as a classroom.

BLOOD DRIVE is Thursday, March 27.  Students 16 and over must have parent permission to donate.  Signups will begin the week of March 17 in Room 207.
  
TICKETS FOR THE FRESHMAN-SOPHOMORE DANCE WILL GO ON PRE-SALE THURSDAY, MARCH 20 for $10 DURING LUNCH.  Student guest forms may be picked up when tickets are purchased or from Room 207.  Dress is SEMI-FORMAL.  Theme is A Night with Gatsby.

UK SUMMER CAMP OPPORTUNITIES
The UK Area Health Education Center offers two residential camps for current high school students.  The 4-week summer enrichment program is open to rising junior (current sophomores) only and the health researchers academy is open to current juniors.

DIVERSITY CLUB  This month the Diversity Club's goal is to help students understand the tradition and culture that makes SK a unique and great school.  

 

FIRST PRIORITY (formerly "FISH") meets every Thursday after school in the chorus room from 2:45-3:30 PM.  

  

GUITAR CLUB  Guitar Club meets on the last Wednesday of the month from 2:45-3:30 PM.  

 

JAM-C CLUB   Jam-C meets in Room 209 the 1st & 4th Thursdays of the month.  
 

JUNIOR CLASS STUDENT COUNCIL  Interested in planning prom?  Show up at the meeting on Tuesday, March 11 in Room 203 after school.

 

PIONEER PRIDE    There will be a pep rally on Friday, March 7.  

 
SOCCER Those interested in trying out for the boys soccer team who are not participating in a spring sport should report to the fieldhouse
on Tuesdays/Thursdays for conditioning.  Time is 6:30-8 PM.

 

TLC (Teen Leadership Club) meets every Thursday after school in Room 311 until 3:30 PM.

CONGRATULATIONS INDOOR TRACK & FIELD . . .

The team participated in the state championship at Broadbent Arena in Louisville.  In the 1600 meter race, MCKENZIE LACHMANN placed 6th overall and OWEN POWELL placed 5th place.  Great job!!!
