Winter Sports are Back!

ARCHERY TEAM MAKES SUCCESSFUL DEBUT . . .
The new SK archery team finished victoriously at their first
tournament
appearance.  Matt Hance placed 1st for
high school males, as well as capturing the overall high scoring
male with 285 out of 300.  Matt Breeden took 2nd place with
a 275.  Damien Heuser finished in 3rd with a 272.  In the girls'
division, Amanda Hornsby earned a 1st-place finish with 270.
Danielle Stanton took 2nd with a 258.  Great job, team!  Support the
team on Thursday @ City BBQ.  Flyers available at school or from
team members.
 
SBDM MEETING CHANGED TO DECEMBER 10
DUE TO HOLIDAY BREAK.

MAPS TESTING . . . 
All 9th and 10th graders will be MAP testing in reading and math beginning December 2.
 
SEMESTER EXAM SCHEDULE . . .
The tentative semester exam schedule is:
Wednesday, December 18 - 1st & 4th
Thursday, December 19 - 2nd & 5th
Friday, December 20 - 3rd & 6th
 
GIRLS' BASKETBALL TOY COLLECTION . . .
 
The girls basketball team will be assisting Grant Co. Middle & High Schools with a fundraiser to collect toys for patients at Children's Hospital who cannot come home for the holidays.

The team will collect until Wednesday, December 11.  Toys must be new and unwrapped.  Toys can be for any age -- male or female. 
Drop donations to Ms. Wendeln in Room 129 or in the main office.

GOVERNOR'S SCHOOL FOR THE ARTS (GSA)

Kentucky High School Sophomores and Juniors: Governor's School for the ARTS is now accepting application through December 31.


Students can apply on-line or download an application from

ARTSHOPS
 
Governor's School for the Arts (GSA) is holding statewide ArtShops for high school freshmen, sophomores, and juniors throughout Kentucky.


ArtShops are designed to give students the opportunity to participate in a hands on workshop in their chosen art form. Students who are interested in applying to the GSA summer program are highly encouraged to attend an ArtShop to better prepare then for the audition/review process in March. Please see website:

GE-REAGAN FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
