State Wrestling Update
The wrestling team had a good showing at the state tournament.  The team finish was just a bit short of their goal (0.5 points out of 4th), the Pioneers produced 5 placers and 2 state champs.

Elijah Owens finished 6th and Tucker Mueller finished 7th.  Joey Parrott was a runner-up, making his first state finals.  His loss came to a young man ranked 5th in the entire country and Joey wrestled a very tough match against him.

Kevin Cooper won his 3rd consecutive state title with a convincing 10-0 finals victory.

Hiero Chamblee won a state championship.  SK has a longstanding tradition of both lightweights and Coopers winning state titles.  Hiero is actually the first non-Cooper to win a title since 2000 and the heaviest state champ in school history.
