City Flag Lowered In Memory Of Hunter Shodeen |

The Geneva City flag outside City Hall has been lowered to half-staff in memory of Hunter Shodeen, 26, who passed away Sept. 10. The City would like to express its sympathies to the Shodeen family on their loss. The flag will remain at half-staff until evening Monday, Sept. 19, according to Mayor Kevin Burns. Natural Resources Committee Hosting River Clean-up Day

Geneva's Natural Resources Committee will be hosting a Fox River clean-up day from 10 a.m. to noon Sunday, Sept. 25. Volunteers can meet at Island Park at the spillway near the train trestle bridge. The NRC will provide bags, water and hand sanitizer, and the group will have at least one canoe to help move garbage across the river. Extra canoes would be helpful.
