NHWBA's Annual Food Drive Continues

For the seventh consecutive year, the NHWBA will be collecting food and monetary donations to help feed hungry families here in New Hampshire. From April 13th to May 11th, the NHWBA will be collecting canned or boxed food items and monetary donations for the New Hampshire Food Bank. Checks should be made payable to "NH Food Bank" and sent to NHWBA at P. O. Box 915, Manchester, NH 03105.

Food donations can be dropped off at individual firms and offices, and they will be collected by NHWBA representatives from May 11th to May 13th. If you would like to collect items at your office or would like to donate items and need to know where to bring them, please contact Gretchen Pyles or Heather Cherniske.

All food items and monetary donations collected during the drive will benefit the New Hampshire Food Bank to help with the increased need for food during the summer months. Specifically, the New Hampshire Food Bank and local food pantries have the added strain of families needing more food because they cannot rely on the schools for hot lunches for their children.

Donations of all sizes are welcome and encouraged. Thank you to all who donate to the NHWBA's Food Drive!

Plan to Attend NAWL's Pipeline to Partnership Program in San Francisco

The National Association of Women Lawyers' (NAWL) Pipeline to Partnership (P2P) program is scheduled for June 3, 2015 at UC Hastings College of Law in San Francisco.

Supporting its challenge to increase the percentage of women

equity partners to 30%, NAWL's P2P program is specifically designed for women lawyers on the path to equity partnership at their respective law firms. This program combines hands-on learning with insights and guidance from distinguished panel members on the new skills, strategies, and priorities that women lawyers need to develop to become business owners.

P2P allows for frank conversations about the ethical and professional challenges women lawyers encounter on their path to equity partnership. Guidance on such topics as gender bias, effective and ethical client management, and the risk of internal politics will set the stage for participants to learn how to align their skills to their particular firm's strategy, culture, and position in the marketplace.
