A Message from our President

On behalf of our entire Board of Directors, I wanted to take a moment during this busy season to wish all of our members happy holidays and thank you for your continuing support this year.  I know this is a time of year when many of us find it difficult to juggle between busy work schedules and holiday preparations, and I hope you will get a chance to take some time off to celebrate with family and friends.  2014 was a remarkable year for NHWBA and we feel so blessed and thankful for the support of our many long-standing members.  We look forward to bringing you more networking and programming opportunities in the year ahead.  I hope to see you at our post-holiday event at UnWine'd on January 15!

Thanks for everything!

Karyl Roberts Martin, President
New Hampshire Women's Bar Association

Please Participate in the Survey Regarding the Current Rates of Substance Use, Depression and Anxiety in the Legal Profession

The ABA Commission on Lawyer Assistance Programs is collaborating with the Hazelden Betty Ford Foundation on a groundbreaking research project to survey the current rates of substance use, depression and anxiety among legal professionals in the United States.  The New Hampshire Bar Association is participating in the research study and encourages all members to participate even if you have not experienced any difficulties with substance use, depression or anxiety.

The anonymous, confidential survey is designed to capture current, reliable and credible data on these issues.  Knowing more about the extent to which these problems exist in our profession is very important in addressing how to help those who are affected by these issues, and to our profession as a whole.

To participate, click here.  All responses are anonymous and go directly to the Butler Center for Research which maintains the confidentiality of all data.  No identifying information will be asked and all data will be de-identified including IP addresses.

If you have any questions regarding the survey, contact Dr. Audrey Klein at legalsurvey@hazelden.org.
