The NHWBA has partnered with the Webster-Batchelder and Gujarsa American Inns of Court, the University of New Hampshire School of Law, and the New Hampshire Bar Association to present a free comprehensive two-part program on mentoring to promote professionalism and excellence in the practice of law.  

 

Session I:  Mentor Training - Open to all members of the NHWBA, Webster-Batchelder and Gujarsa Inns of Court and NHBA Mentors

 

When:  Tuesday, October 7, 2014

 

Time:   5:30 - 7:30 p.m.

           Sign-in opens at 5:00 p.m.

 

Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and cash bar will be provided.

  

Topics to be addressed in this session will include the importance of mentoring to the legal profession, common ethical issues faced by less experienced practitioners, and practical tips and skills for effective mentoring.  The program will be submitted for 1.5 hours of CLE credits (.5 ethics), and will be followed by a social.  

 

Session II:  Speed Mentoring 

 

When:  Tuesday, October 14, 2014

 

Time:   4:30 - 5:45 p.m. for 1Ls

           6:15 - 7:30 p.m. for 2Ls and 3Ls

 

Complimentary hors d'oeuvres and cash bar will be provided. Session II is ONLY open to attorneys who completed Session I.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Team

 

When:   Sunday, October 26, 2014

Time:    1:00 p.m.

Where:  Arms Park
            Manchester, NH

The fight to end breast cancer starts with a single step.  Come join us or sponsor our team as we walk 3.2 or 2.6 miles through Manchester.  It will take each and every one of us to rally together and finish the fight to end breast cancer. Just a few hours of your time at this non-competitive event will help bring a lifetime of change for people facing breast cancer and their families.

Join us for a few hours of exercise, inspiration, camaraderie, entertainment, and most importantly, to honor someone you know who has been affected by breast cancer.

Pack a lunch and join Cecie Hartigan, the Executive Director of the New Hampshire Lawyers Assistance Program, to discuss how to spot signs of stress and depression and how to deal with them.  Learn about the services provided by the NH Lawyers Assistance Program.  This brown bag style CLE is eligible for 1.5 hours of ethics CLE credit.
