Visual Feast for Some; Visual Overload for Others 

Open your eyes and ramble into the family room on any Saturday morning starting now -- the TV commercials will be about holiday gifts and toys. Open the front door to bring in the paper and you will see street lights covered with garlands of tinsel or holly branches and sparkling lights.

Head off to school and the teacher is wearing a sweater with reindeer pulling a sleigh and shiny bobbles on her shoes. There are holiday art projects in art class, holiday treats on the principals desk ...

Everything LOOKS different!  Different food. Different clothes. The stores and the streets look different. In the classroom there are different themes and activities.

Outside of school, there are holiday parties. The home is decorated differently for the holidays. There are presents with eye-catching wrapping.  For holiday dinners, there are special foods, a feast for the eyes. Family members we rarely get to see come to visit.

December is a month full of VISUAL changes. For many of us, it is an exciting visual buffet. But for many Mavericks, it's too many changes, too many different images to process.
