YOU CAN HELP TO BRING
NEW BUSINESSES TO YOUR DOWNTOWN

Using DowntownProperties.net!

We all have visited fabulous businesses that we wish were in our downtowns. The next time you come across such a fantastic business, make sure to introduce yourself to the owner and let them know that their type of business is needed in your community. You can tell them that they can find an available downtown property in your community simply by visiting DowntownProperties.net.

You can even be more proactive in your outreach by printing the available DowntownProperties.net listings for your downtown and then heading out for some friendly visits to businesses that you would love to have in your community. A quicker option is to simply email the business owner a specific available property listing that you think would be a great fit for their next location.

Business owners often tell us that a major factor in their location decision was feeling that the community was seeking their type of business and would be supportive of their efforts-so we can all help to bring great businesses to our communities!

 REWARD YOUR COMMUNITY'S SUSTAINABILITY EFFORTS

Cash mobs have been known to increase customers, sales, and regional exposure for small businesses as a reward for their sustainability efforts. Applications are being accepted from communities who want Sustainable Pittsburgh's free support in hosting a cash mob.

One community will be selected for the late spring event.  There is no fee to apply. Sustainable Pittsburgh organizes cash mobs to celebrate communities and businesses that have been recognized by the Sustainable Small Business Designation and Sustainable Pennsylvania Community Certification programs.  Beaver County's businesses which have been certified with the Sustainable Small Business Designation can be found at DowntownFirst.net by searching sustainable businesses.

Host the next cash mob! To apply and learn more about this opportunity please visit http://c4spgh.org/cashmob. The deadline to apply is April 10, 2015.
