Noreen Noel has been a volunteer with CUNY Citizenship Now! for almost five years. Since then, she has attended countless events, including the Haitian TPS and DACA application assistance events. We sat down with Noreen at our June 7th Brooklyn event to hear her story and her thoughts on being part of our Volunteer Corps. Click below to read the interview.

Recent Event
Summer is almost over, but CUNY Citizenship Now! turned up the heat in our latest citizenship event. On September 6th we held a Citizenship Application Assistance Event with MOIA to commence year three of the NYCitizenship in Schools program. The event was held at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn. Forty four volunteers and 36 staff members helped 91 participants, out of which 63 completed their application for naturalization. Click here to read more and see photos of the event.
Our next training will be held on Wednesday October 8th. This training will go over the step by step process of completing the N-400 form. Seats will be limited. So, please keep your eyes open for invitations in your inbox and don't wait to register!
You are a volunteer on the Application Assistance Station helping a participant with their N-400 and realize that they are struggling to answer basic questions because their English is so limited. You check the pink case notes sheet to see whether this issue was addressed at the screening station, and you see nothing written about it. Q. How do you proceed?
