Volunteer of the Month
April is National Volunteer Month, so instead of recognizing one volunteer, we would like to say thank you to all of our volunteers, past and present, that have helped us provide free immigration services. With the CUNY/ Daily News Citizenship Now! call-in and the May 10th Citywide Citizenship Event on the horizon, we are particularly aware of the fact that we would not be able to successfully complete these events without the help of our dedicated volunteers.

Poll Question
|
You are working the application assistance station at a Saturday event. You are helping a participant who is exempt from the English literacy requirements for naturalization. This means that the participant must not demonstrate a basic understanding of how to read, write, and understand English in order to be granted naturalization.
Q. How will you proceed with this participant?
