City Council Approves
Three Additional Firefighters
for Station 2

The most important service provided by the Isle of Palms Fire Department is first response in medical and fire emergencies.  At its February 2014 meeting, City Council voted to approve the hiring of three additional firefighters for Fire Station 2, beginning April 1, located on 41st Avenue.  With this change, Fire Station 2 will have the same number of staff members per shift as Fire Station 1, allowing for improved response times, more effective use of equipment, and better training.
