Consolidated Dispatch - Help the Transition!
In 2013, the City will transition into "Consolidated Dispatch" with Charleston County. After the transition, people answering emergency calls from the island will no longer be located on the island. The City is making extensive preparations to make the transition as smooth as possible for island citizens. Please help us by ensuring your complete address is clearly marked both on the inside and the outside of your home. With the increased use of mobile phones, guests, visiting family, friends, renters and children need to be able to accurately describe where they are in the event of an emergency. |
