Week 45 2013

In the words of Tracey Chapman's immortal song this week we are 'Talking About A Revolution', all kinds of revolution to be truthful and how you might engage with a rather gentle revolution I have got going on myself over the next couple of months.

For this past week I have been somewhat 'revolutionizing' my business and consequently have a whole stream of events lined up for you throughout November and December should you wish to empower yourself, stand up for what you truly believe in and rediscover your own ROAR!.

Today's video features Russell Brand in one of the most viral videos that has appeared on the internet over the past couple of weeks. In it he is interviewed by Jeremy Paxman on Newsnight about the revolution Russell believes needs to happen within our political system and wider society to create a fairer existence for all, a rather hard and harsh revolution.

Russell is very passionate in his views and I share a lot of his sentiments, but a lot of what he is trying to say I think is about a real need for people to connect with authentic leadership principles, starting to embrace the triple bottom line within corporations that value people and planet as much as profit. Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) goes some way towards this I know but this is more about what I most believe in too, companies and individuals working with more passion and purpose for the greater good of society. Profit is then a bi-product of this, as people naturally feel more engaged, inspired, energized, efficient and productive in the work that they do raising turnover in the process.

There are many ways to go about revolution and a great many of us I know can appreciate a desire to move to a new existence turning their life around and way of working. To support you in this process I plan to run a Global Grace Day event this very weekend, launch a new Coaching Club next Thursday evening, run a Men's Circle Group on the 1st Saturday of the month, more Conversation Cafés and a Transformation Day that is scheduled to take place upon the Winter Solstice, so when Earth renews itself you have a chance to too. I look at Russell Brand now and I think 'what a transformation', it wasn't too long ago that he was getting into hot water over making a rather lewd hoax phone call with Jonathan Ross to Andrew Sachs AKA Manuel in Fawlty Towers.

By his own admission Russell realizes he was somewhat of a brat in his younger days addicted to alcohol and drugs and not at all nice to be around. Now, however he has evolved into an altogether lighter being and almost has a touch of the Messiah about him. An unbelievable turnaround!

In essence Russell reflects back to us what we are all capable of doing too, we are all conditioned to live within the personality types our society depicts we start out with be that within our own family unit or that of our wider community. We however all have the power within us, the keys, to unlock those cages and access our higher self, our most positive of shadows and become prophet like in what ever task we choose to undertake that is most truly aligned to our own heart.

Through all the events that I run and coaching I perform I strive to help people achieve this in their own way too. Be that in supportive groups like the Conversation Cafés I put on or the new Circle Groups I hope to facilitate. I also encourage, guide and challenge people to become the best they can be through my newly formed Coaching Club on a Thursday evening and Transformation Day that I am running on the Winter Solstice where I invite you to finally listen to that little voice inside of you and answer 'The Call To Adventure' setting your spirit free.
