Jump Into The River
Week 13 2013
theriver
Greetings!

In the latest of my Conversation Cafés on Tuesday night unusually I struggled to find the right facilitation technique for the conversation at hand, at least for a while.

That was until I was minded of the river that flowed past, within 30 yards of the window. Whilst at times that river needs to slowly meander to great depths as per the conversation I am more used to facilitating, at other times it needs to rapidly bounce from rock to rock in slightly shallower water and that is perfectly OK too.

The important thing is just to let the river flow where it needs to go, rather than trying to harness it and dam it up with unnecessary structure.

The river in question is the River Erme, inspiration for an arts festival last October in my local town of Ivybridge where one of my own poems dedicated to the subject graced one of the other shop windows in the high street. As a lasting legacy of that exhibition a sculpture will be unveiled this very weekend along the river's banks dedicated to one of its signature creatures.

Leaping out of the water, a totem of knowledge, it will continually remind us of whether we are in right relationship to it and the river itself.

In today's video and following article another wise elder speaks of a river, one that we must jump into and see who is in there with us if we are to overcome all we are being faced with as a society today.

This prophecy, from this elder, is helping form my current ethos behind all my work as I seek to help people speak their truth and find their authentic leadership. I have now reworded my website to fully encompass this ethos and hopefully better explain what I do for people, to view the new version click here. I would welcome your feedback.

Otherwise happy viewing and reading.

And Happy Easter.

Much love.

A Hopi Elder Speaks
Now Is The Hour.

"You have been telling the people that this is the eleventh hour, now you must go back and tell them that this is the hour and there are things to be considered....

Where are you living?
What are you doing?
What are your relationships?
Are you in right relation?
Where is your water?
Know your garden.
It is time to speak your truth.
Create your community.
Be good to each other.
And do not look outside of yourself for the leader."

Then he clasped his hands together, smiled, and said "This could be a good time!"

"There is a river flowing now very fast. It is so great and swift that there are those that will be afraid. They will try and hold on to the shore. They will feel as if they are torn apart and will suffer greatly.

Know the river has its destination. The elders say we must let go of the shore, push off into the middle of the river, keep our eyes open, and our heads above water. And I say, see who is in there with you and celebrate. At this time in history, we are to take nothing personally, least of all ourselves. For the moment that we do our spiritual growth and journey comes to a halt.

The time for the lone wolf is over. Gather yourselves! Banish the word struggle from your attitude and vocabulary. All that we do now must be done in a sacred manner and in celebration.

We are the ones we have been waiting for!" - An Unnamed Hopi Elder.

If this prophecy resonates with you, perhaps you would like to comment on it on my blog, or if you wish to start speaking your truth and finding your own authentic leadership why not contact me today and see how I can best help you achieve this.

Until next time.

Much love Sx.
