As you may have noticed, there was no Upton Report last week. This was because we were busy moving the location of our Boston shop. After several cold trips back and forth from the old Boylston street shop, we're happy to report that the new Upton Bass Boston is officially open on the first floor at 163 Massachusetts Ave! Here's a night view --->

Our new location will be open the same hours as always- Tuesday through Saturday from 10-6- but now we'll be offering full restoration services in addition to a larger selection of both vintage and Upton brand basses.

UB Karr Model Makore Special   

This gorgeous Karr Model features extraordinary quilted Makore wood - a very dense and strong African Cherry, AAA deluxe Spruce top, and Sloane tuners. An Upton Bass "state of the art project," completed January 2014. As you may recall, we made another bass out of this same wood last year (now sold) and brought it to the ISB convention.
