President's Message
By: Lyo Figueroa, HBA President

As new HBA president, I would first like to thank you, the undying supporter of the HBA. As incoming president I look forward to the invaluable guidance of past presidents and the support of our board to keep the HBA focused on our goals and especially that of providing scholarships to our new generation of attorneys. I am eager to lead our organization and continue our efforts to make a difference in the Orange County community. I am especially excited about our upcoming Annual Scholarship Fundraiser & Installation Dinner on March 5, 2016 as this year marks the 38th anniversary of the HBA's Annual Dinner.

For 38 years, the HBA has been committed to promoting access to education and raising the next generation of HBA leaders and Latino lawyers in Orange County.  This year's dinner is only one week away and I invite you to join us, it is not too late, you can purchase your tickets here: http://ochba.org/event-2116379 if you have any questions or need more information, feel free to write to us at  info@ochba.org. This year's dinner will be a little different from previous years as this year it will be a Monte Carlo Night, including two-hours of Monte Carlo style gambling, followed by our dinner and program including entertainment by La Sonora Dinamita. We hope you join the more than 500 judges, attorneys, community leaders and supporters who we expect in attendance. The annual Wally Davis Scholarships the HBA provides would not be possible without your support and for that we thank you!

2016 will be a great year for the HBA, please visit http://ochba.org/join-us to renew your membership and participate in the many events we have planned for this year.

Thank you for allowing me the honor of leading our organization this year, I look forward to seeing all of you at next week's dinner and all the upcoming events of the year.

-Lyo
