            | | Thank You For Standing With The HBA     By: Diana Lopez, HBA President     On the 1st of this month we celebrated, really celebrated the HBA, its past, present and future. We announced the creation of the Past President's Council and I want to thank all of the past presidents for participating and continuing their support of the HBA -  long past their presidencies; and for marking the creation of the Council with an $8,500 contribution to the Wally Davis Scholarship Fund! If any of you would like to join them, please donate here.
We also awarded an unprecedented $40,000 in scholarships to four outstanding local Latino law students. Thanks to each of the over 400 in attendance, I was able to reach my goal to increase that amount to $50,000 next year! I want to thank the members of the bar, judges, and friends of the HBA for standing with us and with me, helping me reach my goal, and helping me carry this great organization to another level.

Each of our awardees and our keynote speaker inspired us and connected us - our humanity and our legal minds. Thank you to all our sponsors for your continued support and we hope to continue to do great things in the legal profession and in advancement of the HBA's Mission.

 ˇMuchas Gracias!
