Greetings!
| Marily Mora, President/CEO |
The Reno-Tahoe International Airport reached new heights in 2015 with several new flights and the highest customer service scores in history.
Five new flights were announced or began service in 2015, including JetBlue Airways to New York City's John F. Kennedy Airport; three daily non-stop international flights on Volaris Airlines between Guadalajara, Mexico and Reno-Tahoe; Orange County and Boise daily non-stop flights on Alaska Airlines, and the proud return of Oakland service, with not one, but three daily flights offered on Southwest Airlines.
With positive passenger growth in 2015 and record-breaking numbers in air cargo, Reno-Tahoe International Airport is giving lift the Reno-Tahoe region. And with support from the community to fill the airline seats that the airport offers, we believe that 2016 will be a year when Reno-Tahoe International continues to soar!
Sincerely,
Marily M. Mora, A.A.E.
President and CEO

Rideshare is at RNO...New Ground Transportation Options
The Nevada State Legislature recently approved Transportation Network Companies, like Uber and Lyft, to operate in Nevada and now the Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) is proud to announce that rideshare operator, Uber, can pick-up and drop-off customers at the airport, enhancing the overall travel experience. Rideshare service began Wednesday, January 20th, in ground transportation, just north of Baggage Claim. Currently, Uber is the only rideshare company permitted to pick-up at RNO. But Lyft is also in the process of becoming an authorized rideshare provider at the airport.

The process is easy. Riders may log on to the rideshare app and identify the Reno-Tahoe International Airport as their pick-up location. Customers should then wait for their driver in the shelter provided outside Baggage Claim, just north of where hotel shuttles and taxis pick up. Look for directional signage to guide you. "We welcome Uber and future rideshare companies, and are happy that the necessary procedures to safely operate were worked out, because at the airport, safety and security is always our number one priority," said Reno-Tahoe Airport Authority President/CEO Marily Mora.
