Dear friends,
Happy New Year! I'm so glad to be starting 2015, and I hope you feel the same way. 2014 had its fair share of growth and challenges, and I'm ready for 2015 to be a celebration. This year, I'm looking for more out of life. I know my clients are, too, and I hope that all of my readers agree.
My biggest goal for this year is to work harder, share bigger, and be louder about how powerful the ADHD community is. I think labels and stigmas should be things of the past! Now is the time to embrace the aptitude of the rapid fire brain type, which I call the Innovator Brain. Don't you think we're all ready for some more creativity, insight, enthusiasm, and resourcefulness?
I hope you'll join me on my journey this year as we spread a message of positivity and empowerment.
Also, I am very excited about my new Premier ADHD Coaching Packages rolling out this month. My team and I worked hard to price each package to meet the financial needs of as many people as possible and have added extras and discounts to offer even more value. Be sure and check them out on my website and feel free to let me know what you think. I always welcome your feedback!
Lastly, I am trying out something new this year; instead of calendars, I will be posting memes with pleasing graphics and noteworthy quotes to help you keep the positive light shining in your life even in the midst of difficulties and challenges. Look for them on my website, in future newsletters and on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Google+.
I look forward to another great year of growth and fun with all of you! Remember that you will always be an important ingredient in my own growth and happiness.
My very best wishes,
Carol

A Hundred Types of ADHD Innovators
Anyone familiar with my work knows that I'm on a mission to change the optics of ADHD. Even that label itself puts us at a disadvantage from the start. Just look at the "D"s behind that acronym: deficit and disorder. We're at a deficit compared to others, meaning we're less than them. We're disordered compared to others, meaning we're wrong or broken. Those labels are so incorrect! No humans should have to carry stigmas like that, but for the capabilities of the rapid-fire brain type itself, that ADHD definition is truly misleading. That's why I'm working so hard to get everyone into a more positive frame of mind. The terminology I like for this brain type is the Innovator Brain. It's time to emphasize the beneficial traits of this cognitive structure, like powerful deductive skills, creativity, hyperfocus, and thinking speeds up to ten times faster than other brain types. Everyone I work with is eager for a fairer reframing of the language around ADHD, but sometimes people can be intimidated to take on the bold, flattering label of Innovator. After all, when you've been called abnormal for your whole life, how can you dare to own the label of Innovator? I think it's important to clarify that innovators come in a hundred different shapes and sizes. Read more... |

I had the extraordinary pleasure of working with Carol when I made the decision to stop taking medication and start understanding how I could live a fuller life with ADD. Carol, an ADHD coaching pioneer in the Boston area, was simply brilliant... Together we mapped out a success strategy, using my personal value system to leverage the goals I wanted to attain. What I enjoyed most was the weekly assignments we tailored to fit my goals. These exercises required open reflection and internalization of my individual belief systems thus leading to greater business productivity, richer relations, superior focus and bolstered self-esteem.
Carol's coaching techniques have given me the intellectual tools I needed to prioritize my life... I recurrently reflect on Carol's unwavering support of my personal journey... I am very blessed to have her in my life and will be forever grateful. - Jim Sproul, Founder, The Sproul Company
Thank you for taking the time to speak with our Young Professionals Group... Your presentation was interesting and enlightening. You did a great job tailoring your presentation to the audience and kept the discussion light and open which worked well as the group was genuinely engaged. The attendees gained knowledge of the importance of a business coach and what it means to work with innovators in their own workplaces. -Beth Reynolds, Director of Membership Development, Outreach and Events, MetroWest Chamber of Commerce
