December 2014 Newsletter

Dear friends,

This year, I've looked at dozens of ways that you can take more control in your life and get the satisfying results that you want. Guided by my Vision, Mission, Blueprint system, I touched on everything from how to get your body healthier to how to create the community engagement you want. To everyone who read along on the blog and participated on social media, thank you!

As the chapter on 2014 ends this month, I want to focus on appreciation. Soon everyone will be swept up in New Year's Resolutions, but I think it's important to congratulate yourself on the progress you've made before rushing out to make new goals. In what ways are you different from how you were this time last year? How did you grow and change this year?

For everyone who used this year to challenge themselves, explore something new, or feel a little more at home in your own skin, I congratulate you.

Carol

The Ultimate, Essential, Universal ADHD Treatment: Meditation

If you aren't meditating, you're not serious about managing your ADHD. Hear me out. Meditation is free. It requires no equipment, no training, no travel, no insurance. All you need is three minutes and a little will power. Is that asking too much?

The ADHD Diet Solution

Can your food take the place of your ADHD medicine? This question has become a hot topic lately. The short answer is: no, but the food you eat can still make or break the success of your treatment plan.

What is an "Innovator Brain Type", Exactly?

What do I mean when I use the phrase "Innovator Brain Type?" There are many personalities, historical and contemporary, with the "Innovator Brain Type" who have made significant contributions to society as a whole.

Why Do People Think You're a Jerk?

Let's be real: for each of us with ADHD, there has always been a negative stereotype or two associated with us. You're a bad boyfriend or girlfriend; you're a lazy employee; you're too selfish for your friends and family to depend on you. You hate having people think this about you, but you also don't get why it happens so you can't figure out how to change it.

The ADHD Relationship Test

We ADHD rapid-fire thinkers make up an estimated 5% of the US population, so odds are that your significant other does not have this brain type. The question is, will ADHD become a dividing factor in your relationship over time? Give this ADHD Relationship test to your non-ADHD partner to find out.

I had the extraordinary pleasure of working with Carol when I made the decision to stop taking medication and start understanding how I could live a fuller life with ADD. Carol, an ADHD coaching pioneer in the Boston area, was simply brilliant... Together we mapped out a success strategy, using my personal value system to leverage the goals I wanted to attain.

What I enjoyed most was the weekly assignments we tailored to fit my goals. These exercises required open reflection and internalization of my individual belief systems thus leading to greater business productivity, richer relations, superior focus and bolstered self-esteem.

Carol's coaching techniques have given me the intellectual tools I needed to prioritize my life... I recurrently reflect on Carol's unwavering support of my personal journey... I am very blessed to have her in my life and will be forever grateful.

Thank you for taking the time to speak with our Young Professionals Group... Your presentation was interesting and enlightening. You did a great job tailoring your presentation to the audience and kept the discussion light and open which worked well as the group was genuinely engaged. The attendees gained knowledge of the importance of a business coach and what it means to work with innovators in their own workplaces.
