David Neeleman
David Neeleman is one of the most successful people in the aviation industry - and one of the most outspoken CEOs with ADHD. He founded JetBlue in 1998, and that's just one of his successful business ventures. He embraces the fluidity of his rapid-fire brain, as quoted in ADDitude Magazine:
"'If someone told me you could be normal or you could continue to have your ADD, I would take ADD," JetBlue Airways founder David Neeleman once told ADDitude... 'I'm afraid of taking drugs once, blowing a circuit, and then being like the rest of you,' he joked."
Neeleman thinks outside of the box to create unique companies that cater to the preferences of the customer. As Elite Daily puts it, "he is the perfect example of what someone with ADHD can accomplish when they are truly passionate about what they do."
will.i.am
will.i.am is one of the most creative people in the entertainment industry today, with his official job description on his charitable foundation's website crediting him as "seven-time Grammy Award winning musician, producer, director, entrepreneur, and philanthropist." Originally a member of the Black Eyed Peas, he has collaborated with some of the most famous names in music, like Michael Jackson, Rihanna, and Britney Spears. He has always been open about taking control of his ADHD, as quoted by ADD Adult:
"One thing I learned about ADHD is that it's hard to keep your attention and you can't sit still and you're always moving and thinking about a whole bunch of things. But those traits work well for me in studios and in meetings about creative ideas. I've figured out a place for it."
Now running his record label, will.i.am Music Group, and his educational charity, i.am.angel Foundation, this multi-talented artist is unstoppable.

She has served on a wide variety of national and regional ADHD associations, including serving as the president of the CHADD National Board of Directors and president of ADDA. In her other job as an educator, she provides outreach services to children in urban areas. She gave ADDitude Magazine a powerful interview about the benefits of owning your ADHD:
"'I can multitask because of ADD,' says Evelyn Polk-Green. 'It helps me keep all of my projects straight.' ...Her advice to other women? 'Figure out how the disorder affects you,' she says. 'Then use your strengths to overcome your weaknesses...Choose a strategy -- be it medication, therapy, or hiring a housekeeper -- and stick with it. Your life will get better.'"
In her Family Voice column while serving as president of NAMI, she offered words of wisdom that will inspire any ADHD parent: "Humor, along with our acceptance of each other and ourselves, and relying on each other and our support systems when necessary, coupled with the ability to forgive and accept forgiveness - has allowed me to raise my two wonderful sons. I am so proud of them and hope that I have been the mother that they deserve. The journey has certainly not been an easy one...and it is far from over. But I must say that the ride thus far has been exhilarating!"
Her dedication and kindness has made the entire ADHD community stronger, and her work serves as an inspiration.
