January 2014 Newsletter

Happy New Year,

I hope that your first week of 2014 has been full of joy and accomplishments. There's something positive in the air right now, when everyone thinks about how to use this blank slate. If you're more inclined to be cynical about the New Year, please bear with me.

I know that the date doesn't really matter. I just feel invigorated whenever any group of people tries to better themselves. It's healthy to try to get a new perspective on your life. Shaking things up is good for everyone. And what's the harm in hoping to improve yourself? It's especially fun when everybody gets in on the act together.

You might be on the bandwagon, or you might find inspiration for self-improvement during some other part of the year. Regardless, I'm rooting for you.

All the best in the coming year!

Carol

Live ADHD Free - The Seminar Series

Like a lot of people this time of year, maybe you've been wondering what you can "give" yourself for the New Year.

Live ADHD Free The SeminarMuch of the time we choose goals that work on our "flaws," such as losing weight, eating healthy, giving more, accomplishing more. But rarely do I hear: "My goal this year is to find what brings me happiness."

For me, I have found a ritual that sustains me through the good times and bad; I ask myself to decide on the 3 most important goals for the coming year: one for friends and family, one for career and contribution, and one for myself and myself alone. The last one - the goal completely for me - is my point. While I am focused on building and caring for relationships, and making my business more relevant and helpful to my clients, what am I doing to build a better relationship with myself? For my "self-goal" this year, I am focused on listening much more thoughtfully to what my inner voice is trying to tell me.

When people really think about their own answer, I have learned that most want to be loved and cared for, have fun with friends and family, and contribute to the welfare of others. What would truly be possible if these elements came together in your life?

Live ADHD Free - The Seminar is the perfect opportunity for you to find out. In this seminar you will fully identify your strengths and build confidence in using them. You will discover what you're missing by holding back your innovative and creative genius. You will find yourself refusing to pay the price you have been paying by denying yourself any longer. The seminar will show you exactly why and how to make changes to your perspective and your actions so you can have more of what you want in your life.

In this one of a kind seminar, the exercises you will be doing and conversations you will be having with the instructor and classmates will shine a light on your true choices and opportunities. You will learn to conquer fear, self-doubt and procrastination. We will look at how our perception of our own "self-worth" has played in our own histories. We will work hard on banishing bad habits and negative thinking patterns.

After you have completed the three-part seminar, it is my hope that you feel empowered and determined to make the right choices for yourself. To assist you in your journey, you will take away with you your personal blue print of goals, steps and resources you can use to get you where you want to go.

I sincerely hope you will join me for an experience that will change your life!

Seminar Starts: Tuesday, January 14, 2014

Six Steps to Your Personal Best

WHAT ARE YOU LIKE WHEN YOU'RE AT YOUR BEST?

6 Tips to your personal bestYou probably feel pretty unstoppable. It's the sort of feeling you wish would come around more often. The thing is, really good days don't have to be a fluke of nature. You can get the most out of yourself much more often than you think, and you don't even need to make any drastic changes to do it. Just follow these six steps, and your personal best might just become your new normal.

1) Self-reflection
Navel-gazing introspection doesn't have to take over your life, but for any meaningful change to happen, you at least need to be aware of your own strengths and weaknesses. Think through what it feels like on a great day. What comes easily to you? Which logistical parts of your routine go well on days like that?
