Donations Needed for Cookie Walk

In an effort to expand the Parent Organization Craft Bazaar last year we offered a cookie walk.  It was hugely successful!  We will be offering  the cookie walk again this year and need your help..

The cookie walk is a way for everyone to get their holiday cookies from an assortment of different homemade cookies. All the cookies will be laid out on a table. People then walk the aisle and choose a dozen cookies from the selection on those tables. This way everyone gets to create their own favorite platter. In order for this to be successful, the cookie walk needs as many different varieties of homemade cookies as possible. In essence, the more cookies there are to choose from the more successful the cookie walk will be. Therefore we need your help to supply the cookie walk by baking your favorite. Please note on your package the kind of cookie it is, and if it has nuts (due to allergies). Delivery of cookies to VLHS will be Thursday, October 30th, Friday, October 31st  and early on Saturday November 1st.   If you are sending them in before Saturday, please take them to the school office.

Your participation is greatly appreciated. We all look forward to a successful VLHS Craft Bazaar.  Cookies will be sold for $5 per dozen.  We also host a luncheon from 11-1, please join us for lunch.

Prayer of Repentance

1 Have mercy  on me, O God,
    according to your unfailing love;
according to your great compassion
    blot out my transgressions.
2 Wash away all my iniquity
    and cleanse me from my sin.

3 For I know my transgressions,
    and my sin is always before me.
4 Against you, you only, have I sinned
    and done what is evil in your sight;
so you are right in your verdict
    and justified when you judge.
5 Surely I was sinful at birth,
    sinful from the time my mother conceived me.
6 Yet you desired faithfulness even in the womb;
    you taught me wisdom in that secret place.

7 Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean;
    wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.
8 Let me hear joy and gladness;
    let the bones you have crushed rejoice.
9 Hide your face from my sins
    and blot out all my iniquity.

10 Create in me a pure heart, O God,
    and renew a steadfast spirit within me.
11 Do not cast me from your presence
    or take your Holy Spirit from me.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation
    and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.
