1. OPEN your session by setting the context. What are the expected learning outcomes? Why is this training occurring now? Why are these specific participants in the room? How will the training help them?
2. DURING the session:
- Introduce each topic before diving in.
- Design smooth transitions between topics.
- Check for understanding on each topic before moving to the next.
3. AT THE END
Turn each learning outcome into a test question (e.g. "Please name the five essential elements of..."). Ask small groups to come up with the correct answers. Groups can also create their own questions, based on the material, to ask other groups.
