Change is in the air at Pine Needles Quilt & Sew.  Sometimes second hand information and here-say get extremely distorted, so I am choosing to speak to you, our valued customers and friends, directly through our email medium.

Pine Needles shops are growing by leaps and bounds, and we are thrilled!  With this progression, we find ourselves at a crossroads.  There is more and more business to tend to, and our days are just not long enough.  We are going on our sixth year of success juggling 2 locations; we LOVE both shops and are so incredibly proud.  Each location has its own distinct personality and unique flavor.  I (Marcia) now find myself closer to 60 than 50.  I am a very high energy person; however, the constant travel required, along with more and more being added to my work week, has taken a toll and created some health issues for me that I can no longer ignore.  I also have 5 beautiful grandchildren, ages 3 to 9 living within a few miles from home; I so want to be a larger part of their growing up years.  Husband Tom, has been a dear and so very patient with the shops.  He has taken the back seat time and time again over the years.  We do want to do some traveling together - he has let me know going along to Quilt Market or Bernina University is NOT his idea of leisurely travel. ;)

The above being said, our family has made the decision to list our Decorah location for sale.  Be assured it is paramount that we find the right person to take over and continue with great products and superior customer service you have come to expect right here in Decorah.  The Nagel/Diemer family will continue being a single store location in Rochester.

You can be certain Decorah is NOT CLOSING - our Decorah staff is the BEST.  Our goal is to keep the shop open continually with a smooth transaction from owner to owner.
