Hello cropping friends! Happy Spring to you! I have been trying to think of the ideas to put into the newsletter for weeks, but always seem distracted by the pretty flowers and bright sunshine between the drizzles! Sorry for the lateness of the newsletter!

We had an amazing April crop and want to thank all those who attended. More information is on that below. While we now have a 5 month hiatus before the September crop, there will be lots happening and some exciting news in the coming weeks. Stay posted!

May Scrapbooking Tip
Crops - where preparation is key! 
One of the perks we offer at Crops Plus is the Porter Service, where on Friday afternoons, hotel porters will unload your car for you and take your belongings to the crop room while you go park your car. It's a great service and many people take advantage of it. And as a side bonus for me - I get to see, giggle at and admire all your packing techniques (or lack thereof!)

Often women will get out of their cars and exclaim "I just threw stuff in there!". To combat that and maybe help you get a bit more organized before the crop and not waste precious time DURING the crop, I found this really cool article on packing and preparing for a crop. There is even a printable pack list. Now you can be sure you have all the right things all the time! No more calling hubby to come by with your forgotten photos! :)

September Crop Wait List Open
The sooner you join, the better your chances of getting in! 
Well, we certainly didn't see it happening that fast, but our September 2016 crop sold out in a matter of hours when it opened on May 2! We have already started the wait list. If you would like the opportunity to possibly join us at the crop, be sure to register for the wait list ASAP.

April Crop
Thank you for attending!
April crops are my favorite. The weather is almost always lovely, everyone is happy to be out after a long winter and we have the food drive. April 22-24 was no exception. It was a wonderful crop! We had a great time. I know lots of you were super productive and our bellies stayed full!

Huge congratulations go to Karen Danzenbaker who won our layout contest, Michelle Parker who won the sketch layout contest and Elly Habets who had a beautiful entry into the digital layout contest. All well deserved wins!
Annual Food Drive
Thank you for your generosity!
Every year I am completely blown away at how generous and giving our croppers are at our April food drive.

We did offer a great storage item worth $60 as a drawing prize. Congrats to Linda Oxford for winning that! Since the attendees were so generous, we decided to be as well and drew the names for 5 more prizes! I can't find that list of names, but CONGRATS to those who won! :)

Carrie from Link, INC (a charity that exists to provide emergency food to people in need in the Herndon, Sterling, and Ashburn, Virginia communities) came in and said some very sweet words and then everyone grabbed a bag or two to load up the car!



Look at what your good hearts can do! I am so grateful to each one of you.
Scraps Marketplace is Coming!
A unique scrapbooking event headed your way
Scraps Marketplace is a vendor fair and scrapbook yard sale that will also provide scrapbook classes during a one day event. The event will be 9am - 3pm Saturday, October 22, 2016. The site for this year's Scraps Marketplace will be located at 22685 Holiday Park Drive, Dulles, VA 20166 at the Executive Conference and Training Center (ECTC). It is NOT at the Dulles Expo Center. ECTC is conveniently located off of Route 28 and Route 50 in Dulles, VA, with plenty of parking for vendors and customers!

Future Crop Registration
Coming this summer!
Stay tuned because in our June newsletter (NEXT MONTH!) We will be announcing our 2017 crop dates! Get ready!

November 2016 crop registration will open on Monday, July 11th at 12:01am! Keep in mind that September sold out before I woke up the next morning, so if you have your heart set on November, be prepared to stay up a few minutes past midnight to register!

In September, we will open up registration for our January 2017 (already!) crop and those who want to attend all four crops and get a 10% discount can sign up for those as well.
