Like the weather, we are heating up here at Crops Plus! Every day, we are working with vendors, stores, manufacturers, teachers, the hotel and the chef to provide the best possible crop for you (in just three weeks!) April is my favorite month and I am really looking forward to the crop. There will be so much going on and many opportunities to win special prizes (more info below). See you soon!

When preparing to teach a new class, I ran across this wonderful video from our own Kathryn Krieger from Kathryn Scraps. It's from a few years ago, but she does a wonderful job of teaching you a new technique as well as challenging you to use a 6x6 paper pad! We all have them, but may not use 6x6 pads that much unless you are making cards. I really loved this layout and Kathryn's tips on better page design. Our April crop is sold out and has a very large wait list. The September crop registration opens to the public on May 2 at 12:01am. We will have a limited number of seats, so if you would like to join us, be sure to register as soon as it opens!

April Crop + Annual Food Drive

 We have been truly blessed to enjoy a hobby we love and friends (new and old) to share it with. To give a little bit back, every year, we hold a food drive at the April Crop. You can win special tickets for every item that you bring! Those raffle tickets will put you in the running to win a special prize worth $50!
We will be donating the food to Link, INC, a charity that exists to provide emergency food to people in need in the Herndon, Sterling, and Ashburn, Virginia communities.
More information on what items Link, INC is looking for will be sent to each registered cropper with details. Here is a picture of some of the food we were able to donate last year, over 400 pounds!

Scraps Marketplace is Coming!
A unique scrapbooking event headed your way

 Scraps Marketplace is a vendor fair and scrapbook yard sale that will also provide scrapbook classes during a one day event. The event will be 9am - 3pm Saturday, October 22, 2016. The site for this year's Scraps Marketplace will be located at 22685 Holiday Park Drive, Dulles, VA 20166 at the Executive Conference and Training Center (ECTC). It is NOT at the Dulles Expo Center. ECTC is conveniently located off of Route 28 and Route 50 in Dulles, VA, with plenty of parking for vendors and customers!

Scrapbook Concierge
Meet one of our newer vendors!

 Scrapbook Concierge is a family run business. Sadie has a beautiful 5 yr old Brody and designs the original pages and creates all the svgs. She then sends the files to Me (Jennifer) and I do all the cutting and assembling (with some help from friends). Sara has now joined us and is helping us with a new register and bar codes so we can move into the next stage of our company.
We have been in business for about 3 years but have only been going to crops for the last 2 years. Since Sadie creates these beautiful pages we can customize them, we also add 5 new kits a week. With that being said we have over 500 kits and most of them were created out suggestions from our customers. We are growing so quickly that we are looking to move out of my dining room/living room soon. This is our full time business, we run 4 silhouette machines 12 hours a day.
