Scrapbook Trend: Watercolors
While it is not necessarily a "new" trend, watercolors and the look of watercolors in scrapbooking is huge. It has been for quite some time in the card making and stamping crafts, but I think scrapbook manufacturers are learning how to incorporate this specific technique into ready-made papers.

One of the most popular looks I am seeing is soft watercolor backgrounds and palettes with large black or bold loopy handwriting or embellishments. Here are some examples:

September Crop a Huge Success
Thank you to all who attended! 
We had a wonderful crop just a few weeks ago! And we're so grateful to all of you who came out and had a good time! We gave away over $3,000 in prizes and gifts. Congratulations to our layout contest winners: Amy Eastlack and LeeAnne Jackson. And our grand prize winner, heaven help me, I can't remember her name. Please forgive me and congrats! 
2016 Registration
Some changes to the process
 


Last month, we opened registration for our January event and we have just three spaces left! We also opened up registration for those interested in joining us for all four events at a 10% discount. This deal will only be available until the January crop sells out, which could be very very soon! So be sure to register now!

Please note that registration for other dates will not open until 4 months before each date.

The prices for the 2016 crops will remain the same! $250/weekend. There will however, be two changes. 1) At the crops previously you could register for all future events. Starting at the September crop, you will only be able to register for the next two. That means at the November crop, you will be able to register for the January crop (if not sold out) and the April crop (before it opens to the public).  2) There will be a strict enforcement of the deposit requirement (50% due within two weeks of registration. Those registering for all four dates will need to deposit $250) and you will need to click the box showing acceptance of that before registering. Thanks for understanding and we look forward to seeing you in 2016!

WE DID IT! We have reached our $600 goal!
Last year, we donated over $600 to Bethany House and you have helped us reach that goal by buying a Crops Plus tee shirt. THANK YOU!

All of the proceeds will go to Bethany House, a domestic violence shelter in Northern Virginia. Bethany House was organized to help women and their children who have suffered from domestic violence regain health and dignity and become re-established in their community by providing temporary housing and support.
