Greetings!

This is a very special time of year, regardless of the holidays that you celebrate. While this can be a busy, hectic, and even stressful time, many use the holidays as a time for reflection, family and resolution. We hope that you are able to work in some well-deserved paper crafting as well!

We have a little less than 2 months before our January crop. If you are interested in attending, we have just a few (3) seats left. See below for more information. It is going to be wonderful event!

Until then, have a restful, rejuvenating holiday season filled with all the things that are really meaningful in your lives.

Comparison of two binding machines

With the ever increasing popularity of mini-albums and chipboard books, the need for personal binding tools has become apparent. A personal binding machine allows you to have versatility in your

projects - make them big or small, use the chipboard or other book covers you already have - to create the finished project you envisioned.

With that in mind, here are some comparisons of the two most popular machines out there, The Zutter Bind It All and the We R Memory Keepers Cinch.

cinch vs bia

Zutter Bind It All Binding Tool Kit Includes:
  • Bind-it-All machine
  • one package of 6 piece 1/2" black owires
  • one package 6 piece 1/2" white owires
  • (6) 6X6" chipboard covers
  • (6) 7.5 X 5" chipboard covers
  • (6) 8 X 8" chipboard covers
  • Set of owire sizing templates
  • Instruction manual
We R Memory Keepers Cinch Binding Tool Kit Includes:
  • Cinch binding machine
  • 12" wire
  • 8" wire
  • 6" wire
  • (2) 12" x 12" bookboards
  • (2) 8" x 8" bookboards
  • (2) 6" x 6" bookboards
  • Instructions manual
Similarities:
  • The wires in both machines are interchangeable...so there is no advantage of one machine over another regarding those supplies
  • They cut the same thickness of product
  • They can punch through many different materials, any length
Differences
  • The Cinch cuts round circles for the wires to go through, the Bind It All punches rectangular shapes
  • Because the Cinch's holes are round, eyelets can be placed inside the hole to reinforce the covers of your projects
  • The Cinch has customized hole-punching knobs, allowing you to set where you would like your holes punched. Essentially, turning off some holes
  • On the Bind It All, you place your pieces in through the top, holding them vertical while punching. On the Cinch you slide them in, laying them flat
  • The Cinch has an arm that will lower and lock in place for storage and travel.
  • The Bind It All takes up about 1/2 the space (and weighs about half) of the Cinch
  • The Cinch allows for the use of plastic coils as well as the standard metal owires
  • The Bind It All can usually be found for about 20% cheaper than the Cinch
  • The Bind It All is capable of handling any size owire that is available on the market from 1/4" to 1 1/4". The smallest wire possible for a Cinch is 3/4" up to 1 1/4"
  • With the Cinch, you can place your wires on hooks and thread your pages while you work
  • When pressing the binding owires closed, the Cinch is known to create more of an egg shaped closure, while the Bind It All is round.
