There are a lot of exciting things coming for Crops Plus this year, starting with our January crop. You may have heard we are raffling away an iPad!
Also, for the first time, we will be offering Crops Plus tee shirts (see below) as well as limited edition scrapbooking kits for sale at the crops. We hope that you'll be joining us; you won't want to miss out on the fun!

January Scrapbooking Tip
Extend the life of your Cricut mat!
For those of you lucky gals who own a Cricut (or are planning on winning the January Grand Prize!) this thrifty tip is for you. Have you noticed how quickly your sticky mat loses it's "stick"?
This Zig 2-way glue pen (chisel tip) is your new best friend. You probably have some stashed in your supplies. Just coat your entire mat with this pen. Start at the top and work your way down in straight lines, until the whole surface is covered. Your mat will be very wet at first; it needs to dry for at least 20 minutes. After the drying time it should be good as new.
Another trick is to rotate the mat. The instructions tell you to only insert the mat into your machine with the arrow pointed up. You can utilize the whole cutting surface by turning your mat on its side and cutting equally on the entire surface!
And if worse comes to worst, Crops Plus will now also sell 12x12 and 6x12 mats at the crops at a discount! |
Valet Service Now Available
Arrive between Noon and 3pm on Friday Jan 28th to take advantage of this offer!
Crops Plus prides itself on being the area's only premier, full service crop. So, as another Crops Plus benefit, we are offering valet service! On Friday, January 28th, from Noon - 3pm only, Crops Plus will have control of the coveted luggage carts at the hotel. All you have to do is pull up to the front door, tell the bellmen which bags to take and THAT'S IT! Our bellmen will load your bags and supplies onto the luggage carts, and Crops Plus staff will direct them to your seating area where they will unload your bags for you while you park your car. You can breeze into the crop room not carrying a single thing except for maybe your coffee or hot chocolate - your supplies will be waiting for you! No more hunting around for a cart. No more making multiple trips to your car in the cold!
Crops Plus will be paying the bellmen as our gift to you and as a thank you for your support. All we ask is that you pre-register so we know how many hands we will need and ask that you consider a tip of $5 per cropper (cash or check payable to Crops Plus as we will be tipping them as a group.)

As a side note, we are not currently offering this service for Sunday, January 30th. We would like to see how the first day goes and then perhaps we will arrange this service on arrival AND departure days for future crops.

January Crop Extended
Stay until 6pm on Sunday, January 30th
As a thank you to our croppers for your support and encouragement, attendees at the Jan 28-30th crop will be able to crop 3 HOURS LONGER! Arrive at Noon on Friday, Jan 28th and crop until 6pm on Sunday, Jan 30th!
That means you will have 54 hours of straight cropping time! This is the longest consecutive cropping time in the area. Special thanks goes out to the Holiday Inn-Dulles for allowing this special concession! |

Now Accepting Partial Registrations
Can't attend all three days in January? We can help!
The response for our January crop has been so overwhelming, that we are almost sold out! However, we are setting aside a few seats for people that can't attend all three days. If you are interested in attending for a only portion of the event, please contact us at cropsplus@ourcropsplus.com.
We will do our best to match you up with someone who would like to attend the portions of the event you cannot at a discounted rate! This time-share program will allow you will arrive when your counterpart leaves, but you both will still get the great service, table gifts and buffet meals you have come to expect from Crops Plus!*
We have also started a discussion board on Facebook to help match people for time shares In addition you can also find people wanting to split hotel rooms.
*Partial registration is not guaranteed. When a time-share match is found, you will both be contacted and registration and payment will be arranged. Until that time, partial attendance and seats at the event are not guaranteed. |

We are starting a year long contest, where one lucky person will win A FREE CROP in 2012!
Those interested will recieve a passport book at the January crop. To participate, all you have to do is visit all of the vendors and have them stamp or sign your passport book at each of the four of crops in 2011.

Featured Vendor: Bow Collette
Fancy Quackers
 Some of you may know that our beloved store front vendor, Bow Collette of Fancy Quackers will be retiring after the January crop.
Bow has been unfailingly supportive and a true friend to Crops Plus. We will all miss her very much. She has been one of our core vendors since 2005. For those of you that have known Bow for as long as we have, we know you will not want to miss this opportunity to say goodbye to her as she moves on to new things (IE her brand new redesigned kitchen!)
Make sure to come in January to bid her farewell and to take advantage of fantastic sales that she will be offering on her products. |
