SANBlaze Announces AdvancedTCA Solution with Legacy PCI and PCIe card support for DoD programs

The SANBlaze SB-RTM404 is a Rear Transition Module (RTM)  compatible with SANBlaze ATCA blades, which enables them to drive PCI Express signals over an external cable and interconnect with commodity PCI Express expansion cards installed in an external enclosure; these can be PCI, PCI-X or PCI-express cards.
The solution is built on two pillars: high performance standards based hardware infrastructure, ATCAŽ (Advanced Telecommunications Computing Architecture) and PCI expansion chassis.
This combination increases the number of applications that can leverage the high availability, reliability and maintainability of ATCA while reducing cost and time to market by leveraging existing proprietary or new readily available PCI/PCIe cards.
