Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Thank you for the honor of being able to represent the 37th District for another term. I am grateful to live in such a wonderful and engaged community! I also want to thank Patrice Winter for running a positive campaign. We participated in more than a half dozen candidate forums and I enjoyed the exchange of ideas and listening to feedback from constituents.
Now that the election is over, I want to remind you about my remaining informal office hours! Stop by to ask questions or just to learn about what is going on in Richmond. The format is casual. Upcoming events include:
- November 9th at Jireh Bakery and Caf, 13848 Lee Highway, Centreville
- December 7th at Main Street Bagel, 10268 Main Street, Fairfax
I am also happy to arrange individual appointments on specific issues or concerns. More information can be found at www.davidbulova.com.
Legislative Preview
Each year, the Virginia Division of Legislative Services puts together a summary of legislation that is likely to be introduced and debated in the upcoming session. This year's 2014 General Assembly Issues Brief covers a wide range of issues including the biennial budget, reforms to Virginia's Standards of Quality for education, conflict of interest rules, Medicaid expansion, tax reform, representation on the Commonwealth Transportation Board, and the hybrid vehicle tax. I hope you will take a look! Feel free to send me your thoughts on issues important to our community.
It is an honor to serve you. I hope you will be able to join me for my informal office hours. Coffee is on me! |
