Focus on Fairfax
September 25, 2013

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

I am pleased to continue a tradition started in 2006 by holding informal office hours where constituents are invited to talk about issues of interest or to simply learn more about what is going on in Richmond.  The format is casual and no appointment is needed.  Similar to previous years, I will be having events in the City of Fairfax and Centreville.  All events will take place on Saturdays from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.  Coffee is on me!

  • September 28th at Main Street Bagel, 10268 Main Street, City of Fairfax
  • November 9th at Jireh Bakery and Caf, 13848 Lee Highway, Centreville
  • December 7th at Main Street Bagel

I am also happy to arrange individual appointments on specific issues or concerns.  More information can be found at www.davidbulova.com.

Unclaimed Property Division

On a completely different topic, did you know that the Virginia Department of the Treasury has an Unclaimed Property Property Program?  Unclaimed property can occur as a result of transactions with banks, employers, or any other organization you have done business with.  This includes cash, stocks, bonds, and other items with monetary value.  For instance, if you mistakenly didn't receive a security deposit when you last moved, that becomes unclaimed property.

Virginia has tried to make it as easy as possible to find out if state government is holding your unclaimed property by establishing a searchable website.  You can visit this website by clicking here.

Let me know if you find anything!

As always, it is an honor to serve you in the House of Delegates.  Hope to see you for one of my coffees or out in the community.

Sincerely,
