SHINE GOD'S FUTURE
Campaign nears $60,000 goal!
Gifts for the "Shine God's Future" campaign for the Office of the Bishop and Lutheran Center are at $59,500 thanks to a very generous contribution given towards the art-window installation in the Office of the Bishop entry and worship area. We are humbly grateful for the outpouring of gifts given by congregations and individuals.
RMS LUTHERAN CENTER
"Growing Home" Ministry Opportunity
consider having your congregation volunteer for one day in August to help homeless families
The "Office of the Bishop" is in one building at the site of the new RMS Lutheran Center. An adjacent church building includes a basement which for many years has been used as a site for a transitional housing ministry in Adams County called "Growing Home." Similar to Family Promise (Interfaith Hospitality Network), homeless families are welcomed for a week on a rotating schedule at various church locations. This Lutheran Center site has been one such location for many years.
Cross of Christ, Broomfield, CO, has taken the lead to staff this ministry several weeks a year, and they are inviting congregations to sign up to volunteer for ONE DAY in August to provide a meal and overnight volunteer hosts.
If your congregation would like to explore a one-night ministry opportunity, please send an email to Kent Mueller at kmueller@rmselca.org. You will accompanied well by Cross of Christ volunteers so you know what you need to do to share in this meaningful outreach.

Guide us to all truth by your Spirit, that we may proclaim all that Christ has revealed and rejoice in the glory he shares with us. Glory and praise to you, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, now and forever.

World Malaria Day contributions to from ELCA exceed $250,000
Thanks to you and thousands of supporters like you, the goal of $250,000 for World Malaria Day was surpassed. Gifts for the ELCA Malaria Campaign totaled $300,000, given in addition to $100,000 of matching funds. We are able to launch malaria work in Namibia this year. Thank you!
In Namibia, our primary companion in malaria work is the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Namibia. The church is present mainly in the northern part of Namibia, where the threat of malaria is most severe. Right now, start-up plans are being finalized.
Starting work in Namibia is just one example of the amazing things our church can accomplish together. When each of us contributes toward a shared purpose, our gifts are multiplied and magnified.

Again this year Mount of the Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Vail, Colorado will sponsor a pilgrimage hike climbing Notch Mountain (13,237), in order to view the Mount of the Holy Cross (14,005).
