Greetings!

Twenty prepare for Madagascar trip
On June 29, twenty people will depart from Denver for a three-week trip to Madagascar. The two teams will be visiting all four of our companion synods in northern Madagascar. They will be attending a theological conference with pastors and women theologians in Mahajanga, assisting with a national youth camp in Antsiranana, meeting with synod officials in Sambava, meeting with the pastors of the Avaratra-Atsinanana Synod, and meeting officers of the Malagasy Lutheran Church. It will be a busy three weeks and the team will try to share stories and photos throughout the journey.
To get a "flavor" of the trip, read Hannah Harman's May newsletter. Hannah is a Young Adult in Global Mission finishing a one-year assignment in Mahajanga; she is a member of House for All Sinners and Saints in Denver, and will be accompanying one of the teams for half of the trip.
Thanks to all Rocky Mountain Synod congregations, members and friends who are contributing to the cost of the trip. Maintaining a person-to-person relationship with sisters and brothers in Christ on the other side of the globe is both difficult and extremely rewarding. If you would like to be a sponsor for the trip, please make your offering payable to Rocky Mountain Synod and designate it for "Madagascar 2013."

Lutheran Disaster Response will help those in need from tornadoes
You may give directly to Lutheran Disaster Relief, or your congregation may choose to gather gifts together and send them to the Rocky Mountain Synod offices to show our unity together in sharing with those in need. 100% of your gift goes to help people in need. The "overhead" costs are already covered through the ELCA.
