Dems For Equality Voter's Guide Ready For Press

The Club has competed its endorsement process for the June 3rd Primary and we're preparing our Voter's Guide for mailing early next month.  Among the actions taken at our April 24th meeting:

  • Endorsement of Michael Popkins for Superior Court Judge, Office 19
  • Endorsement of Carla Keehn for Superior Court Judge, Office 20
  • Rated Judge Ronald Prager Acceptable for Superior Court Judge, Office 71
  • Recommended a YES vote on City of San Diego Propositions B & C (the Barrio Logan Community Plan)
  • Recommended a YES vote on Statewide Propositions 41 and 42
  • Designated Susan Guinn for County Assessor/Recorder/Clerk, Carol Kim for San Diego City  Council District 6, Sarah Boot for San Diego City Council District 2, and Yes on B & C as the Club's Priority Campaigns for the June 3rd Primary.

Getting our Voter's Guide out is one of the Club's primary responsibilities - and it's expensive.  The Club has committed $10,000 for the June 3rd election and you can help in the following ways:

Join us for the Club's Irregularly Annual Big Kitchen Lasagna Dinner this Friday, May 2nd.  As usual, Judy the Beauty on Duty will offer her delicious vegetarian Lasagna to be served by some of your favorite officeholders/candidates.  It's fun.  It's tasty, and it helps the Club continue it's work.
