In lieu of our August meeting, we are having a picnic on Sunday, August 18, from 12:30 p.m - 3:00 p.m. It will be held in the picnic table area of Morley Field, Balboa Park, located on the southeast corner of Texas Street and Upas Street. Look for the club banner.
Lunch will be served between 1:00 - 1:30 p.m. Please bring a pre-cooked dish (entrees, dessert, salad, chips and dip, vegetables, fruit, bread rolls, etc. to share). Soda, water, paper plates, and plastic utensils will be provided.
Bring blankets, lawn chairs, yard games (croquet, etc.) or table games (cards, etc.). We will have a volleyball net set up.
Wear your favorite T-shirt from a past Democratic campaign!

The club's annual Freedom Awards is scheduled for Sunday afternoon, September 22. It will be a garden party at a home in Coronado -- save the date and watch for details. The Board will be selecting this year's recipients next week and you are invited to submit nominations, no later than 12:00 Noon on Monday, August 19.
