"I made an appointment as an emergency visit and was pleasantly surprised when I was given an appointment for the same day. I was seen by Dr. Brent Hopfauf, the best optometrist I have seen up to now. His examination was so complete, thorough and meticulous - in fact unbelievable. My husband whom accompanied me to his examination room, was so delighted and pleased that he also wants to make an appointment for himself to see Dr. Brent. I spoke about his proficiency one full day to my entire colleague. I would definitely and most undoubtedly recommend him to friends and colleagues. He is by far way over standard. Thank you for the excellent job you do." - Farkhondeh Shafee, Cochrane Read More >

Greetings!
Despite the recent return of some very winter-like conditions, Spring is on its way (rumour has it). We should be getting into some consistently warmer temperatures soon enough.
|
March 2008 was when we opened the doors to our Crowfoot office after having moved from our smaller location at Market Mall. Now, 5 years later, we have expanded our staff, our premises, and our services. Consistent with our Mission to provide you with the best possible vision, we have introduced new technology. We are currently the only optometrists in Southern Alberta to offer iScription Wavefront technology - a new way to test your eyes to help you see better than ever before!

Experience Zeiss iScription Lenses
|
To celebrate our 5 year Anniversary at Crowfoot, we are offering a second pair of Zeiss lenses, featuring iScription Wavefront technology, at 50% off. This offer is valid at both our Cochrane and Crowfoot locations through the end of April. How about a pair of sunglasses, reading glasses, or office lenses? Replace your old pair with a new frame and consider that second pair with the style that's more "out there". We have brand new inventory in the newest frame styles for Spring. Incorporate Zeiss i.Scription lens technology for true High Definition vision in both pairs. |

Research proves that eating right helps us avoid vision loss from eye disease - specifically, age-related macular degeneration (AMD) long considered to be the leading cause of "non-preventable" vision loss in Canada. Lately we have started to re-evaluate the "non-preventable" descriptive term, as we have learned that paying attention to

Optomap Daytona Retinal imaging is Here
|
If you've had your eyes tested at Mountain View within the past couple of years, you will have had an optomap Retinal scan. This advanced laser-based scanner helps your eye doctor diagnose risk factors for disease inside your eyes - many of which can be very difficult to spot, and present with absolutely no symptoms in the early stages. Since adding this test as part of our eye exam services, we have diagnosed hundreds of conditions, many of which were vision-threatening. Read about this account from an MVO staff member who had a retinal tear diagnosed as a result of having an optomap Retinal scan. We now have the new and improved optomap Retinal scan in both our locations. The optomap Daytona is amaller, easier to use and faster, while still enabling panoramic imaging of a 200 degree view of the retina. Additionally, it offers the benefit of autoflourescence imaging, enabling the detection of very subtle disease states. |

We look forward to seeing you at your next visit, and discussing how the newest eye care technology can help you see better as well as protect your vision.
Sincerely,
Dr. Michele Naruszewicz
