Curved table is standout for modern look
Designed by Gensler in New York, this table is a standout for its shape and materials.
Stretched into a gentle curve, this table spans more than 33 feet in length and was designed to seat 16 before a large screen with access to microphone and power and data technology built into the table.
The technology is featured in a bronze inlay band curving down the table's length and the remaining tabletop surface is "glacier white" Corian with an attractive reverse knife edge.
The curved full base is just 11.5 inches wide to fit technology like retracting microphones and has short fins for added support. The base appears to be metal but is actually a full gloss metallic lacquer on both the exterior seating side and interior wall.
Part of a much larger project, this table adopted some of the project's standard materials, such as bronze, but with its shiny lacquer base and white solid surfacing offered a truly modern style for a technology-focused media room.
