Virginia company pairs glass Summits with stone fixed table
Built for a Virginia consulting firm, these 60-inch by 72-inch Summit tilt-top tables above feature tempered, acid-etched, glass back-painted "snow white" and brushed stainless steel frames, hatch lids and clad bases.
Summit tabletops tilt and their bases are set on casters that easily extend and retract. With the top in the tilted position and the casters extended, Summits roll to reconfigure and are narrow enough to fit through doorways to store. These sleekly designed glass top Summits were sold with a 60-inch by 14-foot fixed table. The fixed table had matching brushed stainless steel bases, hatch lids and edges but featured stone rather than glass - namely Imperial Danby Marble from the world's largest underground marble quarry located just 30 miles from WallGoldfinger factory in Danby, Vt. Often Summits are used to lengthen a fixed table. In this case, the design called for the Summits and fixed tables to be in separate rooms but the rooms all open up to create a larger common area with multiple seating opportunities or open space when the Summits are removed.
