In life there are great competitions. For us in New England, it's the Red Sox versus the Yankees or perhaps the Patriots against teams with fully inflated balls. And there are great, historic challenges. Weather events, wars, famine, watching the Karadashians on TV.
Seibold Baker Illinois' 1st Annual Designer Chili Cook Off at the Emporium Arcade in Wicker Park in Chicago on Oct. 22 will no doubt be both an epic competition and battle both of mind and stomach. And we couldn't be happier to be a sponsor.
Seibold Baker are our amazing representatives in the Midwest. The Chicago team is bringing together designers to showcase their homemade chili starting at 6 p.m.
Popular vote will decide first and second place for best chili and also for a best presentation award (being that the entrants are designers and all).
Prizes will be awarded by 8 p.m. and there will also be free drinks, bites from Bang Bang Pie, a plethora of old school arcade games, and great music.
So, yeah, not quite a famine.
But still a great challenge nonetheless. So, dust off your chili recipes Chicago. The challenge is on.
