Read About Some Bad-Ass Librarians!
The Bad-Ass Librarians of Timbuktu
By Joshua Hammer
What makes a bad-ass librarian? Usually it just comes with the territory. In this case, the territory is in the middle of a religious war involving Al Qaeda and the library is filled with cultural treasures the radicals would love to burn.

These librarians risk their lives and those of their families and friends to save thousands of ancient handwritten manuscripts and preserve a culture that would be destroyed. Find The Bad-Ass Librarians of Timbuktu at the library or as an ebook.
