Playreaders @Central Wednesdays, July 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29 12:00pm-1:00pm We will start the month with the classic Greek drama by Sophocles, The Women of Trachis and continue with Matt Crowley's The Boys in the Band, the groundbreaking 1968 play that zings with one-liners. All are welcome; no auditions or registrations.
Poetry Circle @Claremont Thursday, July 9 6:30pm-7:50 pm Come with a favorite poem - or find one here! If you write poetry, share one of your own, too. We will be taking turns in a reading circle.
Force of Nature @South Saturday, July 11 2:00pm-4:00pm Watch the documentary A Force of Nature about the life and works of the great Japanese-Canadian scientist and environmentalist, David Suzuki. We gave out some copies of the David Suzuki Reader and will be discusing this, the film and other environmental/climate-related issues after the screening.
