For the first time Berkeley Public Library's Summer Reading Program is for grown-ups too.  

 
Not only that: it's for people of ALL ages! Sign the whole family up soon;
online or in-person in any Berkeley Public Library location. You can sign up individually or as a group. Individuals who finish get a prize and a raffle ticket for additional prizes.

 

 Also, check out our events calendar for programs for all ages, including intergenerational programs.  

 

If you won't be around this Summer, no worries - your whole family can complete Summer Reading remotely. Just get back by September 7th to pick up your winning prize. If you are in town, enjoy stickers, stamps and encouragement at each and every summer library visit. Just stop by the check-out desk and say hi!

Village Rhythms Drumming
Get up and dance to the rhythm! Join master percussionist Onye Onyemaechi for a fun-filled, energetic, educational African drumming experience for the whole family! His repertoire involves child and family participation in African drumming, dance, songs, and stories. All ages.

Gone crazy in Alabama
by Rita Williams-Garcia
Sisters Delphine, Vonetta, and Fern return in this 3rd and final story that began with One Crazy Summer. This time they head to the deep South to visit their great-grandmother, Ma Charles. The sisters find themselves in the midst of an old family feud, but also within the warm embrace of all their family members. Grades 5-7
