National Novel Writing Month

National Novel Writing Month NaNoWriMo, a creative writing organization, encourages writers of all ages to complete 50,000-word novels by midnight on November 30. Berkeley Public Library and NaNoWriMo invites potential novelists to attend writing-related even  ts offered at our locations. Start with the official NaNoWriMo Kick-off @CentralSaturday,November 1 11:00 am-5:30 pm Meet other writers and warm up with some writing exercises. Third floor Community Meeting Room. Marissa Moss @CentralThursday, November 13 3:30 pm Marissa Moss, author/illustrator of Amelia's Notebook, Max Disaster and Blood Diaries guides us in creative journaling. Bring a notebook. We will have a limited number of composition books to give away. Ages 8-13. Fourth floor Children's Room. Seating limited. Patricia Bracewell @CentralSaturday, November 15 2:00-4:00 pm Patricia Bracewell, (Shadow on the Crown), discusses her writing process and how she found her agent and major publisher.
